More conspiracy theories to scare children with…

Philbin posted a new conspiracy thread on Shocklines. I’ll talk about this one and then go back to ignoring them while I get work done.  This one is just pictures.

We have 50 states, we have a gun-nutter population, and those 13 soldiers would not make it two blocks if the community decided to open up on them.  My personal estimate is that it would take an army that was at least 400 times larger than current forces to even make a beginning at controlling the populace of the US if the people decided to hand the government their arses.

I personally believe that anarchy is more likely than any kind of New World Order in this country.  Iraq is an excellent example of what would happen to American military if a New World Order were declared by our government.  Except that our civilians are far better armed and more heavily armed in many sectors than the Iraqis.

Wake up and smell the whisky, Philbin.

Oh wow, photos of soldiers. There’s no denying that!

He should go to Salisbury Plain. There’s a fucking load of them there. Idiot.

Given that (supposedly) this was taken in Idaho, I’d say that guy with the SAW would get dropped by some 14 year old with a deer rifle.

But you know what’s really sad? Mikakke made a post about this a week ago and it was solidly refuted, decried, mocked and laughed at by everyone (except for Dumbstine) on that board. And then the thread got deleted (my guess is Mikakke asked Matt to do so).

He’s not even using different conspiracy theories any more, just rehashing the same ones over and over. I think he’s lost touch with reality.

Please, don’t shoot me for this, okay?
But I gotta ask — since everyone knows upon which side “Matt” butters his bread… why do any of you even post on Shocklines anymore? Perhaps he should be left alone to play “hide the sausage” with Mike and Larry; it might broaden his mind.

C, ‘splain please… I’m wondering if you’re going somewhere with this question and I think you need to eloborate before I respond…

Um.. no; not going anywhere. It’s a serious question. Why frequent a forum where any intelligent response is snipped in favor of the spewing of nitwits?

Well the “which side Matt butters his bread” and the “hide the sausage” commence could have been remarks on Matt’s sexuality.

I don’t even have an account on Shocklines, but that’s besides the point.

How can someone broaden their mind if they hide themselves in an insular world, as Matt does with Shocklines? I suspect his reasoning for throwing in with the Nitwits is that he’s trying to “get back” somehow at the pros some egotistical reason, and he refuses to realize that no one cares.

The act of refuting the Nitwits is more important than the board itself. Those two have nothing but false and toxic “advice” for any new writer that comes to that board looking to learn from others about the craft. Philbin plays the “shock” and “too edgy for anyone” card, while Dagstine seeks to confine anyone with talent to the sub pro market to satisfy his own ego.

I apologize for seeming like I was debating Matt’s sexuality, as that was not my intention. By the buttered bread remark, I meant that everyone knows who he sides with, and the “hide the sausage” comment could have been replaced with the image of playing mental masturbation with those two idiots. Sexuality has nothing to do with it, and upon rereading it, I realize my mistake and mean to correct it.
Any one who takes advice on writing from Mike or Larry is a victim of their own stupidity for not using Google. Does anyone really believe that using the board to refute their points is sinking into Matt’s head? Do you really believe he even reads what anyone else has to say, takes it to heart or ponders on it, before he deletes it?
I think a far better use of one’s time is to bring it to their own blog, like Cuss does, than to try and banter on the board – where it is possible the comment is snipped before the intended reader even sees it.
These are my own little, unimportant, opinions, of course. I am simply trying to wrap my mind around the WHY of bothering to spend time on that so-called forum when you are marked as deletion fodder rigjt out of the gate.

Well the thing is Mikkake and Dungstain have a strong force of personality. New writers might not know to research what they say or what questions to ask. I know I didn’t when I started at Seton Hill.

But Matt won’t delete the Nitwits’ posts unless they’re so thoroughly refuted/harangued for their inane comments. Given that, would you let their drivel and toxic advice linger up there for all to see? What they do is an insult to anyone seeking to become a professional writer, an insult to readers, and just about everyone else who bears critical thinking skills.

    I’m with C.

It’s really a sausage-fest, and you have to know that when Daggy wins that contest the competition is truly pathetic.

Frankly, dealing with these losers can’t be good for you. I know why you don’t care to just write them off, but dammit there’s got to be a better way.
